Liberty Personnel is working with a reputable Health Care company based in Philadelphia that is looking to hire a staff accountant. The responsibilities for this role is as follows:
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors to maintain day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
- Promote teamwork within the work group to foster a collaborative environment.
- Interact professionally with Administrators and their staff to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting.
- Manage and complete special projects assigned by managers and controllers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and variance explanations to support the month-end close process.
- Assist in the monthly close process and support the Annual Operating Budget Process as assigned.
- Maintain necessary schedules and documentation for monthly closings, quarterly reviews, and annual audits.
- Review financial data for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.
- Apply GAAP and Financial Reporting Standards without exception.
- Provide assistance with special projects, operating budget, and financial audit as necessary.
- Provide financial support to the Controller and Department Directors as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business Related Degree.
- CPA is preferred, but not required
